  • Fun. Simple. Mindless.

I am super enjoying this. It's a very simple sim-city-like game. You don't have to get heady, but it's still fun. Also, kudos to ANY develpper who sells an app for a flat and fair price. It's a blast, and gives me what I need. If I want a more complicated version, I can still buy the bigger apps. This totally hits the spot for now. And it's nice to look at too.

it’ll do. find the necessity to constantly resellect the tool i want to use kinda frustrating. roads don’t seem to support enough zones, imo. seems to play well enough on my 2015 MBP

Then this is the game for you. Simple, intuitive gameplay. Great (but not overdone) graphics. No nickel-and-diming with in-app purchases. I bought this game and then stayed up into the late hours of the night playing it - exactly like I did with the original SimCity. You won't be disappointed.
  • Awful, awful, awful

I wish I bought anything else with my $3, even 12 rock hard gumballs. This is a terrible city builder game. I don't know who this is for, but it seems to miss the entire point of city building. You can't pause, you can't delete. It's just unplayable, I stopped after a minute. And even the non gameplay choices, for the life of me I don't understand. The whole annoying narrative/dialogue stuff... yuck! So slow and boring, no personality. And I despise the graphics (looks like it was made for 2 year olds). This wouldn't be worth downloading if it was free.

I spent 5 years in undergraduate school studying urban planning thinking one day I would be able to build my own city. Hmm, don't think that will ever happen since most plans I sign off on take 3 plus years just to begin production. However, this games brings all my desires to life! I would give it 100 stars if could.
  • Great game but laggs a lot

I bought this game on my cell phone and MacBook pro. However, the game is lagging so much right now. I have tried to use lower setting but it’s still pretty laggy. Don’t get me wrong it’s a great game but the performance needs to be improved. My MacBook pro has 16 GB ram, 2.4GHz i5 and 512 MB graphic ram I would think that’s more than enough to run this game.
  • Fun but lack of add'l levels becomes tedious

As many have said before this is an excellent game format limited only by it's inability to build larger cities. In the areas of housing, industry, and commercial the game limits to a single level of upgrade. A 3rd level of upgrade for the three essential zones would allow you to do more than just rush around the city building and tearing down to balance growth. After 2-3 days playing at the highest level the game became both boring in its inability to grow and tedious in the repetive adjustments required.
  • A hidden gem!

This game is wonderful! It can be as simple or complex as you make it. My seven year old and I both loved it. The levels of care and detail put into it are outstanding.
  • Okay, but game-save looses state

This is overall a nice game with great potential. It has problems with game save and recall - it loses built items (roads, railroads, railroad stations, buildings, etc., leaving you to guess at what it lost since the last time the game ran. I view this as the kind of bug you would see in a beta product.

I've had all the SimCity versions, and this blows them out of the water. It's a simplified version that refines what a City Simulation game should be.
