I give it two stars because it needs the controller for it

Recent updated must have introduced numerous bugs. Games added to the library just disappear. Settings screen buttons take you to the wrong option when clicked. This used to be a great experience. Please fix!

Beware. The software provided tries to hold you hostage and takes you back to the app as much as possible (no opt out) to try to sell you their backbone plus subscription. The home button on psn controller will also open tbe backbone nag page if you don't hold it long enough. Delete the backbone app and the ios will tell you you need to install the app, even if you tell it to ignore the message. I bought a controller, not a subscription. So tired of subscriptions for everything already. Hardware is pretty nice though if you can spare the annoyance of nag screens.

Never buy a backbone you have to buy one just to pay 40 dollars to play / a month
  • Port not working

The phone will lose connection often. It gets to the point where I just stop playing for the day because it gets annoying plugging the controller back in. It only works if I tilt the phone up a bit, but my phone port works fine with a charging cable.
  • Versatility, power, and durability

Originally i played ark survival with my phone and i thought why not get more games on my phone with controller since i play on a console already, then i realized that it was very power draining for some reason, id play for 10 minutes and lose at least 10 percent of my battery, and most games you are required to purchase after already buying the backbone, which i feel is a scam, and there is no proper way to carry the backbone unless it is already on your phone, the case for it is flimsy and not durable at all and it broke after 2 weeks of being in my bag.
