Love the app. Workouts are great. My only issue is that I can’t change the week start from Sunday to Monday. Can this change be implemented?
  • Lots of potential, disappointing execution.

Awesome concept. Love the GUI. But, the backend must be a mess. There are constant glitches. The most recent I’m experiencing is ‘don’t add weight’ setting—which makes the best part of the app, automatically calculated weights, useless. Reaching out to support hasn’t resolved the issue. Until this most recent problem, it was a decent app for a complete beginner. But if you have a year or more of experience it’ll likely be too simplistic for your objectives. Save the money for protein and find a better workout planner.

I was charged $80 for trying to use the free trial option and was not refunded and ignored . Be careful, they are sneaky

I love this app! I tried a few other ones, most recently Shred, and found them to be noisy and adding unneeded features. I wanted something simple to recommend workouts for me, calculating weight increases over time, and easy to use. The only things I'd ask for are: 1. Please make it more offline friendly! I'm unable to conclude my workout if I don't have an internet connection. When I open the app again the next workout, it still has my old workout and then I'm notified that the data is corrupted. 2. Similar to above, please reduce data usage! I think it's pulling my rankings every time I switch to a different exercise. It's the second most data-intensive app on my phone after Instagram, and it's not clear to me why that needs to be the case given I'm mostly interacting with data that's been pulled into each workout once, at the beginning of it. 3. Clarity around some of the weight exceptions. For example, some machines already have starting weights, are we meant to add to these? Also, the pull-up machine's weight is meant to go down as you improve rather than up. 4. Can I upload workout pics? And also, save the ones I take in-app to my library? Sometimes I already took a pic during my workout, rather than the moment I finished it. I suggested these through the app support and I got a seemingly automated response there my suggestions have been sent to the marketing (?) team.
  • Complete Garbage

I’ve never been so frustrated with an app to write a review before but this app is so bad I needed to warn people to stay away. For context I’ve been a paid user for over two years. The app used to be decent but it’s clear it’s been completely abandoned now. Why does the app tell me to do 20x reps of large muscle groups when my goal is muscle gain? The app tells me it’s increased the difficulty on exercises and then tells me to do the exact same weight and reps for weeks. It never remembers the equipment I have available to me. Watch integration has never worked. Apple fitness/health integration has been broken for over a year. Support fails to address the plethora of bugs I experience daily. STAY AWAY AND SPEND YOUR HARD EANRED MONEY ELSEWHERE.
  • It’s (almost) perfect

I have used Fitness AI for multiple years. For the cost of one training session, I get a year of dynamically generated workouts and active guidance on weights and reps. The app makes all the decisions and does all the weight/rep tracking, but it also makes it easy to edit, swap, or remove a particular exercise. The UI is simple to use while working out. There are settings for most things I’d want to change. There are no ads and no bloat; it’s focused on one function. The FitnessAI support team is also top notch. I had some questions early on about app functionality and the logic behind how it generates workouts. They got back to me quickly with detailed answers. I do have a few small gripes with the app: 1. Apple Watch integration issues. The app will often freeze on the watch during a workout. Occasionally it freezes on the phone. It seems to be exacerbated if I log sets on both the watch and the phone interchangeably, but I can’t reliably replicate the problem. It happens about once every other workout and is easily fixed by relaunching the app, so it’s not a big deal, but it is annoying. 2. No control over number of exercises per muscle group. I selected abs as part of my routine for every workout. It works perfectly when I am working out two other muscle groups (for example: chest, triceps, abs). I get two ab exercises which is appropriate. However, when I do legs (legs, abs), I get too many ab exercises and not enough leg movements. 3. Weight / rep selections are not always appropriate for the exercise. For example, an assisted pull up shows weight instead of assistance, and I don’t believe Fitness AI’s logic tries to reduce the level of assistance because of that. Planks should have seconds but only have reps. Dumbbell exercises use the weight per dumbbell, while other exercises are total weight. This is fine, but it’s not clearly defined in the exercise description. 4. No bar weight settings. There’s a handy feature that shows you what plates to put on the bar, but you can’t set the weight of the bar. My gym’s EZ bar is heavier than the default one in the app, so I always have to adjust for the difference in weight. 5. Weight class averages and leaderboards clearly incorporate people who are logging their body weight exercises as top performers. I know nobody is doing crunches while holding 230 lbs. These outliers should be omitted from the stats and leaderboards.

Excellent Fitness app. Definitely a great value for the money - I ended up subscribing for a year. I have been using it consistently for a couple months now and I am as motivated as much now if not more than I was when I first started! Only wish is that I would love to see them add Pilates and Yoga fusion exercises with weights to the app!

One of the best apps to have as part of your training regimen. It takes care of creating your routine, while increasing your progressive load. The app knows how and when to add weight as well as the number of reps required in order to achieve your desired look. If you happen to get stuck, the app will use its advanced algorithms to either build your strength or increase your power. It does it in a way where you’re not thinking about it; You’re just doing it. Before you know it, you’re strength has increased unknowingly. Keep up the great work!! Lots of props to the Developers for creating an amazing app.
