    This app worked like a charm! I frequently travel to destinations with time differences of up to 15 hours and used to struggle with significant jet lag that disrupted my sleep for weeks. After using this app, I found myself starting work bright-eyed while my colleagues were still battling through fatigue. When you’re jet-lagged and can’t sleep, you’d pay almost anything to feel rested. This is the answer! The key is to start preparing in advance and stick to the recommendations as much as you can. I’ll admit, it probably seemed weird to others when I was seeking out a dark corner with sunglasses on or standing in a brightly sunlit window while others were relaxing, but the joke was on them when I was waking up refreshed, and they were struggling through exhaustion. I did experience some slight sleepiness on days two and three, but it was so much better than my previous experiences without the app. The guidance on light exposure, caffeine, and melatonin was spot on, and even though I can never sleep on planes, following the schedule as much as I could made all the difference. The paid version is absolutely worth it—plus, the customer service is excellent. During a trip with major flight complications, a representative quickly resolved my issue and helped me stay on track. This app has become a travel essential for me, and I plan to use it for as long as it exists. Highly recommend!

    Seems like a massive oversight that there is no dark mode on the app. “Avoid light, especially bright electronic screens” the app tells you, as it blinds you with mostly all white backgrounds when you check to see what you should be doing. Like wow.

    I came back after a 3 weeks vacation to the Philippines which is 16 hours ahead of California and let me tell you, I had zero jetlag! What?! I followed the app as much as I could and I can attest that it works great! You enter all your flight information, I did mine a day before my flight. It tells you when to take caffeine, when not to take it, when to nap, when to sleep with melatonin etc. It’s pretty neat and whoever came up with this up is heaven sent! HIGHLY recommended!!!

    Have used this app twice now as a perk of my United status, once from Lisbon to Denver and once Denver to Auckland. The first time my wife didn’t use it with me and suffered for days of waking early. I otoh woke at my normal time and felt nearly normal. This time to Auckland she used it with me and we both have had minimal disruption. The key is simulating the light at your destination. In a way the app helps you parse out the disruption over a few days so it’s manageable and not painful. Will definitely be using it in the future. I also noted that managing light exposure helped me fall sleep better. Am going to be mindful of limiting light the last hour before bed, even when not traveling.

    I definitely experienced less jet lag than had I not followed guidance. Difficult to follow directions for getting bright light in the middle of the night, and staying away from coffee when all I wanted was coffee. But as a likely result, I was in good shape upon arrival during both legs of journey (USA/AUS).

    I traveled from the east coast of the US to Japan with 9 friends. The time difference between the two locations is 12 hours. I followed the Timeshifter plan with about 85% compliance, and I was the only person in our group with no ill effects from jet lag. I was dumbfounded at how well the app guidelines worked. I have recommended this app to numerous friends—it worked beautifully for me, and I have already added my flights to England for my next trip. I do not intend to travel without it. Thank you for creating this fantastic tool!

    This app made the 12 hour time difference completely doable. We followed about 95% of the directions (missed some of the naps) and arrived ready to hit the streets exploring. Not a day wasted trying to recover from jet lag. I could not recommend this app more. We signed up for the annual because we have several trips planned for 2025 and will use it for them all. A trip to Japan who is 14 hours ahead will be a snap with help from this app. I tell everyone who travels about Timeshifter.

    I’ve now used it for Lisbon, Japan and Tanzania. I still cannot believe how well it works. I follow it as much as I can. Sometimes I can’t sleep/nap when it wants me too. And I won’t wear sunglasses inside an airport. But I do use caffeine, melatonin and bright lights, etc. I used to have terrible multi day jet lag. Now I can’t even consider myself someone who experiences jet leg. Like at all. It’s pretty magical.

    Timeshifter is the single most impactful travel tool I have ever discovered! In the past I have always assumed the first day of a trip to be a wash and planned my return a day early to readjust and be rested for work. With Timeshifter it feels like we gain two extra days of vacation for the cost of a few cups of coffee! For our most recent trip to Europe we arrived in Paris early morning and spent the day wandering the city without any signs of jet lag. On my return I arrived late and followed TimeShifter’s advice to stay up till 1am. I then slept like a baby till my alarm at 7am and woke up well rested and able to dive back into work without feeling jet lagged !
