  • Why limits?

This game is as fun as it has always been. This is the first time I have played the mobile version, but I caught on quickly. Previously, I have played it on game consoles with a controller, but using the tilt for steering & touch screen for the rest is easy too. The only complaint I have is why must there be limits in playing, such as no more gold earned per race after a set amount has been reached? To continue, you have to spend REAL MONEY to raise the limit, which kids & some adults don’t have. I know the game needs to make money to continue on the internet, but you can sell items in the game to accomplish that, which is what you do. I, & I’m sure others, have no problem with that. Isn’t the idea of having people play every day as much as they can & continue doing so, what you want? Making them pay for a subscription to do so is wrong. As I said, you are still making REAL MONEY selling different items in the game. When you make it free unlimited play, I will change my 4-star rating to 5-star. Good going, though, on the game for making it so entertaining & fun! Edit extra: Item tickets are a great when racing. What I can’t understand is why a player can only use 1 per race. They build up fast but are useless if you can’t use as many as you want to use per race. My son & I are really good in this game, but we still lose to other players that seem to get an unlimited amount of items per race. I have even shot red shells at racers who have no items at certain times but do no damage to them. I suspect hackers. Check it out & fix these observations. PLEASE! Now you are down to 3 stars. One more edit extra: The cost of rubies in REAL MONEY is unreasonably high ($69.99 being the most expensive) especially when you only get enough for at most 2 purchases. Nintendo already has millions of $$$. Why do they have to charge so much REAL MONEY for in game purchases? Another edit extra: I, & probably others, have noticed the multiple times of cheating by the game itself. The one that happens most often is when you shoot a green or red shell at another racer who has nothing behind him/her & no damage is dealt to that racer. It most recently happened in the challenge where you have to beat a mega racer controlled by the game itself. I shot a green shell point blank at the mega racer, since I saw nothing behind him, & nothing happened when he was hit. Needless to say, I lost the race because of this. The game cheating on its own has got to be fixed, unless you want Nintendo to be known as cheaters. Other than what I have previously mentioned, Mario Kart Tournament is a blast to play! It would be even more fun if there was less cheating.
  • Needs Controller Support

I would give this five stars, except it does not have controller support, which is a shame, because if it did, it would rival the Switch version of the game. Please add controller support, and this game might be actually perfect. My second request would be for an Apple TV version with controller support obviously. Nintendo make it happen.
  • Bring back PIPES!!!

Hello Mario Kart tour! I just wanted to say that I played Mario Kart everyday until you took away the pipes. They were my family’s favorite! We liked the pipes better than the expensive shop. I just wanted to ask if you could please, please, please bring them back! They were so much fun and made Mario Kart Tour a 5 star game but now I don’t think that anymore. Please bring the pipes back. Thank you!

  • Play if you like punishment

It can be fun at times but do not take it seriously at all. It won’t let you hang out in first, you’ll get an Ill timed blue shell every time and wind up 6th. You are punished by being fast with trash items and the slow players/Ai will tee off on you the entire race. I get trying to make it challenging, but sometimes it’s fun to run away and get a win but that just does not happen in this game.
  • Pricing and lack of report

I have two issues with this game and they are big enough issues to rate 2 stars. The first, the game is rated 4+ but some usernames are very inappropriate for kids. When my husband and I play with our daughter I have to scan the room to see if we need to quit and find a new race. Why is there not a report button for an online multiplayer game with such a young demographic? The second issue I have is the pricing. It’s atrocious! I have never seen such extreme pricing in a game before (console or mobile). It costs $70 (without tax) to buy enough rubies to purchase a character from the in-game store. It’s $50 (without tax) if you want to buy a kart, balloons, or flyer). Mind you, not all characters and karts are useful on every map. This is also the only game I have played where the player cannot at least grind out a farm for in-game currency. After a certain amount of multiplayer matches, the player is cut off of earning pipes. After a certain amount of races, the player is cut off of upgrade points. It’s incredibly pay to win.
