I've downloaded this application as an alternative to Visio on my Mac and was surprised how good it is!!! Firstly, it rungs great on my Mac!(based on stats form Activity Monitor and Allocations and Leaks) I like the icon collection library, like its multi-display layout, unexpected quality of the exported file formats(especially the .eps and .svg). Overall, I am very happy!!! Would definitely suggest it to my friends!!! :))

a nice low-cost alternative to Visio

I have used numerous tools for documenting software designs. I even have my original IBM flowchariting template. It took a bit of time to get used to the way Visual Designer, but once you have command of the tool, it works well.

Been using Visual Designer for quite some time and it's great. No technical issues and excellent support when I need it. Program is extremely versatile with a rich feature set but remains intuitive and straight-forward. HIGHLY RECOMMEND.

Exactly what I was looking for!

I have been looking for a solid network design app to use on my MacBook. I have used several different ones with varying degrees of succss. For my needs, this app is superior to all of them. My focus is sketching network diagrams and processf flow chars. This app is flexible and feature rich for everything that I do. It is simple to pull pictures of equipment we are using into the drawings I am creating. I wish this app had been available a decade ago as it would have saved me many manhours of work. The only area that I feel could use a little more development is the app help function - it in a PDF format.

No updates to this program in a year, and now I understand why: The developer is now offering "VisualDesigner2" and calling it the professional version of this program. I see their other programs are taking the same route. Of course, you must make install and then make another in-app purchase to get the full features of the upgraded program...at full price. There's no discount offered for existing customers, and this program appears to now be abandoned for future upgrades, and perhaps, compatibility and bug fixes. We've seen this strategy before folks, and it ain't pretty, considering how fast Apple often obsoletes compatibility with older programs with new MacOS releases. No more purchases from this developer. Fool me once...AVOID.

This app has some good features but lacks depth in each of them. For example, trying to design a kitchen and while they have oven and fridge, they don't have cabinets, islands, double ovens, etc.... I don't expect the app to be all things to everyone but these are basic things.

I have to admit, when I've first seen this app, I was a bit worried that I wouldn't be able to use it (thinking that even basic features would be behind a paywall). Thank goodness that the devs actually understand that people want an app that fully works out of the box. Even at this point if this app were to add extra features for a price, I would happily pay for it, because the basic features on this is great iin my case.
