I've used this simple app for quite a while and I'm very happy with the functionality. I've had no issues--until I went to Catalina, then it wouldn't work anymore, presumably because it was 32 bit not 64? Whatever. With the latest update it works again. And if you've searched for a similar replacement you know there isn't one out there. Thanks for the update!!

There isn’t an option to list what type of exercise you want to perform during a specified interval. I was aiming to set up a full body HIIT routine that cycles through things like 4 sets of high knees for 30 seconds, with 20 second rest intervals between each, then to 5 sets of burpees for 30 seconds, with 20 second rest intervals, and so on, but all it does it let you click on how many intervals there are going to be and how long the entire excerise routine is. So yeah, what’s the point of staring at my computer screen with a stop watch on it counting down from 20 minutes when I have a stopwatch already? Needs work.
  • Fantastic, straightforward timer

I love this app. I use it for HIIT intervals and it works perfectly, even when I set it for no rest in-between. I’m not trying to sync it with some other timer at the same time like in the other review, so I have no issues and have never even noticed a split second time lapse in between intervals. I like the interface, it’s easy to program to all different interval times, and I like how it gives you an audio countdown and a ding at the end of each interval. It’s handy to put it full screen on my monitor, then I can easily see the timer during my workout. I just found out they have a version for Android so I’m going to load it on my phone too!

The interfact looks nice, but it assumes you will rest between each interval and there seems to be a subsequent timelag. I’m using this for a boxing workout and running a 3 minute clock on my phone while I use this app to indicate intervals off the comptuer. If I want to do 12 successive 15 second rounds with NO rest in between, there seems to be a 1+ second lag between rounds, which then throws the timing off my main boxing timer pretty significantly. So basically it does everything but keep time correctly. Hmm.
