the program keeps saying my scanner is unavailable. only works when I close app and then reopen. Then it scans only once. I have to keep closes and opening the app

When ScanSnap retired its receipts app, I spent a long time (and more than a few bucks) evaluating receipt reading and processing applications for my Mac. This is the one that made the cut. It's got better than average OCR and it seems that the developers are constantly trying to improve it. The ease of creating and managing different databases suits my need to separate domestic and business expenses. The analytics and flexible downloading tools are also very simple and useful.

I replaced Paperless with this app after the former was abandoned by it's developer and even though the conversion was a bit slow, I'm glad I did. This is far more stable and easy to use. There was an issue with a recent version and the developer addressed it with a new version within a day or two. This is a great receipts organizing app... Especially for the money. Highly recomended.

I does all the major things expected with out a hicup. I has a very small learning curve to make everything you dream up seamless. Money well spent. Great product. I was sceptical so I got the free trail from the website

In the description it says it supports all scanners. This is not true. I have my Brother scanner connected to my mac and it won't recognize it.

For the price, this is the best solution I have found for storage and retrieval of receipts, bills and other documents. It was not totally intuitive for me at first but as I became familiar with the interface and setings, it became one of my favorite apps. A simple thing that I appreciate is that I can export receipts by dragging them into a folder and the app names the exported receipt files with my user configured file naming template. By including the date, contact, tags and amount I get consistent file names and files that can be easily located with a search utility like Mac Spotlight Search or Dropbox search. I have created separate databases for business and personal receipts with observed folders (inboxes) where I direct my desktop or iphone scanner.

I needed to keep track of expenses for work and the programs they gave me as well as the others I tried were complicated and difficult to chanege mistakes. This Reciepts program was the best $60. ever. Now I get compliments on my expese reports. I can say that if they had a trial period to try first, I would have purchased a long time ago. I would gladly put my name to this review

I was hoping this application would relieve me from burdensome entry of receipt data, and the inevitable mistakes that come with it. One feature that particulary motivated me to buy the product, despite its hefty price, was its ability to interoperate with the Mac Mail app, finding content that indicated that I had received a receipt or invoice through email. Long story short, I couldn't get it to work. So I conatcted support, expalined the problem and related what I was seeing in terms of the apps produced error messages. And then I waited. And I waited. This was months ago, but still not response. If this rating provokes some helpful attention, I would love to be able to revise my rating. But, as of yet, for me, this is useless and expensive.

Many occasions when the program doesn't properly process the "Confirm and Next" payment data being entered. Instead of progressing to the next receipt in the Not Paid column, the program jumps to Unconfirmed and I must once again "Confirm and Next" the data entry. It's a glitch that should be fixed. I've been dealing with it for over a year.

This is a great app for MAC. I would love to see it available for iPad and iPhone as well.
