Ask questions on relationships, mental health, parenting, career help, fitness plans, and more. • Anonymous profiles so you can do YOU Connect with people about any topic, join interactive community groups or threads, and chat with other redditors, all anonymously. Voting and Karma: Instead of likes and hearts, Reddit’s social network runs on upvotes or downvotes. Voting on posts and comments increase or decrease the creator’s karma, and helps popular and relevant posts rise to the top, while filtering out low-quality or irrelevant posts. While karma doesn't directly impact your ability to use Reddit, more karma can increase posts’ visibility and help you get noticed. Some communities require karma to post or comment, which helps prevent spam or low-quality content. Your account will get banned for absolutely no reason. But you can post porn and videos of people getting their heads chopped off. Unbelievable

I used to go on Reddit a lot when Apollo was around. It was basically a 3rd party app that made Reddit way better. Reddit decided to shut that down and since then I used their app a bit but it was a very poor experience. I eventually started using it less and less because it just wasn’t as good as Apollo. Now I’ve noticed that Reddit is straight trash. All far left content. Not that I’m a political person, but seeing all that loony political content really was messing with my head. I’m a lot better off not using this app ever. Since I stopped using it my mental health is much better off.

This is a toxic pit of despair moderated by unpaid people quick to abuse their “power” and ban anything from a subreddit out you aren’t drinking the kool-aid. People will report you as suicidal if you post contrary opinions so automated systems flag you. There is no discourse or exchange of information, just reports for “incivility” on a platform half used to cater to porn fetishes. Thus the irony in being banned for being rude by a company hosting the kinkiest porn. Advertisers beware.
  • Reddit is a leftist propaganda machine

Someone wrote a post that was lies and it got pushed to the too of the news page. I corrected the post with a link to a government website, and i was suspended and banned from r/politics for correcting the post. The silencing of people to push an agenda is crazy.

Fun app! Love the way there are so many interesting conversations. Recently I’ve been into track and field especially with the upcoming Olympics , and Reddit can be a nice place to find relevant information, viewpoints, and of course fun conversations with like minded individuals! So much better than instagram!
  • The Reddit app under China company Tencent’s control is absolutely trash

The Reddit app under China company Tencent’s control is absolutely trash. It constantly adds many Chinese characteristic features, like: - You can’t select and copy text in the app. - You can’t download images and videos in the app. - “You need to log in to view the whole content.” - “You need to download the app to update your settings” (Then it push tons of trash contents to waste your time, contole your mind) - “You need to use app to publish the photos/videos.”(Then it push tons of trash contents to waste your time, contole your mind) - Forced automatic recommendations (if you mute the recommended content from a sub you dislike, you cannot see any information you saved from that sub). - Of course, many anti-CCP contents are suspended/removed for various reasons. So, if you always use Reddit, you will always be a loser and help the EVIL CCP!
