Some communities require karma to post or comment, which helps prevent spam or low-quality content. You can’t even open a link to direct you seamlessly to the app from an external browser. It just sends you to the App Store

Before I could search something and if was on reddit I could just continue on the app. Now I have Apps open up (even if it’s up to date) and I see the app page instead. When I open it up I’m just greeted with the home page. Why give me an app if I could just do it all on a web browsers?

The most obnoxious part is that Reddit pushes you to use the app: “view this site on the app.” You click the button, and it takes you straight to the App Store. Instead of actually viewing things on the app. Drives me insane.

The Reddit official app is officially terrible. Does it accurately show news as it would on a desktop? Nope. The aggregation is simply terrible. A mega thread isn’t going to show up under popular. It just *somehow* doesn’t see it. Also: OP comments. Open a thread, that may be buried. I looked into this bug. It’s been a problem for over TWO YEARS. Third party apps sorted it out. But why build better when you can just shut down the apps This is a craptastic app. Do some research, find the workarounds. But don’t give this app the attention. Just mobile browser if you can’t discover the ways to get around this app.

Reddit makes it so that any time you open their app it pauses any music you have in the background. This would only be annoying if you could just hit play and it would keep going, but if you hit play and then go back i to the app (even from the control center) it will just pause your media so you have to listen to cruddy adds they force into your view constantly. Not worth it. Don’t recommend.

Ruined the ux experience and usability in the last few days. Why remove the ability to swipe left it out of a post?!
