Description

Welcome to Reddit, the heart of the internet. Reddit is a social network with something for everyone: trending topics, diverse discussions, and engaging communities and comment threads. Redditors have authentic and interesting conversations around all sorts of curated content. You’ll find gaming communities, bloggers, meme-makers, fandoms, travel enthusiasts, support groups, AI forums, news junkies, artists, and creators of all types. Reddit has over 100,000 online communities (forums where members post and comment) dedicated to specific topics. Some of the most popular communities are: • r/AskReddit, where users can ask and answer questions • r/funny, which is full of humorous content • r/science, for scientific discussions and news • r/gifs, with funny animated gifs for your viewing pleasure On Reddit you’ll find: • Thousands of community groups Breaking news, social media trends, sports highlights, TV fan theories, open AI discussions and personalized content, there's a community for everyone. • Loads of laughs Find memes, oddly satisfying videos, funny cat videos, and more to help you lose track of time. • AMAs, or "Ask Me Anything" Celebrities, politicians, and experts answer questions from users. • The best discussions on any topic Reddit’s discussion threads are where community members jump in with humor and insights for just about anything; pop culture, sports, entertainment, or financial advice. • Get answers to anonymous questions Ask communities anything you want. Ask questions on relationships, mental health, parenting, career help, fitness plans, and more. • Anonymous profiles so you can do YOU Connect with people about any topic, join interactive community groups or threads, and chat with other redditors, all anonymously. Voting and Karma: Instead of likes and hearts, Reddit’s social network runs on upvotes or downvotes. Voting on posts and comments increase or decrease the creator’s karma, and helps popular and relevant posts rise to the top, while filtering out low-quality or irrelevant posts. While karma doesn't directly impact your ability to use Reddit, more karma can increase posts’ visibility and help you get noticed. Some communities require karma to post or comment, which helps prevent spam or low-quality content. Reddit Premium: Purchase Reddit Premium to enjoy an ads-free experience and access to premium avatar gear, r/lounge, custom app icons, and more. Payment will be charged on a recurring monthly or annual basis to your Apple account. Update 04.17.24 More bugs: I’m getting reply notifications, but the link to them in the post won’t load. I have internet and the post loads for a couple notifications but most them don’t. Maybe they don’t exist anymore due to them being flagged or deleted? It still won’t save to custom lists and accessing the lists is hard because keeps being moved or is missing entirely. After liking or saving/tagging a post, these interactions just disappear randomly. Search Update: Search seems to be working better. Search options are the most garbage in the industry. Have to google your search to find what you’re looking for. Subs are hard to find for no reason even if you know the name of the sub.

People are really trying to get answers to their inquiries and problems. This is not just some fluffy chat.
  • Bad App

Replying is broken. Mobile servers are broken. UI is broken. None of the “updates” fix anything and it’s clear they aren’t trying because every version change is just “bug fixes” that I guess they forget to include every time.
  • Fosters and protects Antisemitism

Im very disappointed that Reddit would foster a community of hate, intolerance, and propaganda. I was copying and pasting other people’s comments and replacing the words “Jew” and “Israel” with “Muslim” and “Palestine “ to prove a point that the sub internationalpolitics was antisemitic. I was banned for this action while the people who are still calling for the death of Jews are still posting. Cleary, Reddit has shown they support hate towards one group. If you will not investigate this sub, I wonder what effect this will have on Reddit’s future. I’ll go ahead and delete my account as I do not want to be a part of an antisemitic organization.

The communities on Reddit are amazing. I learn; I laugh. It’s much better than “Cats” —especially the movie.

Absolutely hate that you can no longer easily “hide” posts - you have to physically click the post and then click the 3 dots to hide it. Why did they make it harder to hide posts? This app is becoming less and less intuitive with poorer UX design during each and every update. PLEASE bring the 3 circles back to the front page so I can more easily access this feature. There was major reasons for one to need to hide a post. And I don’t want to have to go on r/bugs to give feedback!
  • DO NOT UPDATE IF THE APP WORKS

Every update they claim to do bug fixes, tell me why every update makes something against an unfriendly UI or just creating WORSE issues. After my most recent update I can’t open comments or interact with posts or view communities. They basically just locked half the app “cx bug squashin our lil quirky update notes🥹” - local Reddit admin

Porn is allowed on Reddit and it’s not even pixelated when someone isn’t in these groups. Everyone can see it even my kids. The “hide nsfw” option is the app is useless.
