  • impossible because they don’t stop when you get the notes wrong. PLEASE UPDATE

there’s a separate “practice mode“ that does this, but it is only for certain portions and it slows down the song too for some reason. And then they force you to do it without practice mode. I understand they’re trying to make us play the right speed, but we’re going to do that with enough practice. The fact that it continues when you get the notes wrong makes some songs impossible. PLEASE UPDATE

I love this app but I hate that I have to pay to learn piano, every single app I have tried has made me pay, it’s horrible and at this point I’m just done with trying.

This is a terrible app. You can do the basics at first but then you have to pay money to do anything else and it’s $25 just for 1 person. Therefore making it overpriced and not worth it. Who cares about the 7 day free trial. It only lets you play for 7 days before you have to fork over your hard earned money. In conclusion, this app is not good because it is overpriced and if you don’t want to pay you only get 7 free days.

I think simply piano is excellent for practicing piano as a beginner and advanced beginner. I love the way they make it seem like a piano version of the “Guitar Hero”video game. But, since I don’t have a port for a MIDI cable for an electronic keyboard, the app is often times inaccurate in listening to whether or not I played the correct notes with accurate timing. Also, the arrangement of the songs are slightly strange and weird….possibly to help you practice your fingering? You will bored if you’re a solidly Intermediate piano player
  • Scam

Im a pianist myself and my mom wanted to play too. I thought this would be a great starting point for her. First of all I want to say the corses are really good. The exercises insures that people like my mom learns effectively and quickly. The only problem is early on you put a lot of fingerings on the music and it makes the user too dependent on the fingerings. You should teach the notes better with more flashcard exercises or something and remove the fingerings earlier. This makes it so the user actually knows how to read the notes on the treble and bass clef. Also, you should teach timing better. I have noticed my mom being horrible at timing and reading notes even in pop chords 1. Please make more courses on reading notes and timing. And at least add an option to remove fingerings. Thanks for reading.
